Basketball Recap: Decatur Takes a Loss

Decatur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 60-21 loss at the hands of the Tri-Cities Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Decatur can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while Tri-Cities is ranked 56th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri-Cities to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hannah Morris, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. Morris' evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssia Bandele, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Decatur's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Tri-Cities, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-4.

As of now, neither Decatur nor Tri-Cities have any future games scheduled.
