Basketball Recap: Hancock Central Beats Wilkinson County for Their Third Straight Victory

Hancock Central extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Sonovia Reynolds. The Hancock Central Bulldogs greeted the New Year with with a 40-25 win over the Wilkinson County Warriors thanks in part to Reynolds, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Kym'Mora Lango, who put up ten points. What's more, she also racked up four rebounds, the most she's had since back in January of 2024.

Hancock Central's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Wilkinson County, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Hancock Central will welcome Twiggs County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hancock Central is facing Twiggs County at the right time seeing as Twiggs County is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Wilkinson County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 45-16 defeat against Wilcox County on the 4th.
