The Terra Nova Tigers will face off against the Aragon Dons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Terra Nova 3.8, Aragon 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Thursday, Terra Nova made easy work of El Camino and carried off a 15-2 victory. With that win, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Jesse Martinez was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Martinez was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, JT Snead was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Donati, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Terra Nova always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Aragon has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against St. Ignatius College Preparatory, falling 12-1.
Aragon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Chang, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.
The victory made it two in a row for Terra Nova and bumps their season record up to 13-5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Aragon, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
Aragon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Terra Nova has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. It's a different story for Aragon, though, as they've only averaged .339. Will they be able to contain Terra Nova's hitters?
