A look at seasonal statistical leaders and top performances the last two weeks in Ohio, New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

This week's Xcellent 25 high school girls basketball rankings are presented by the Army National Guard.

Who scored over 40 points? Who grabbed over 20 rebounds? Who dished out 10 assists? Here's a look at the boys basketball leaders in points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks and more in the Great Lakes states this winter...and some nuggets of note.

Great Lakes Girls Basketball Round Up

Who hit it big the last two weeks in the Great Lakes Region? Try...Celeste Mershimer.

The Fairfield Christian Academy (Lancaster, Ohio) senior has tallied 10 assists or more in four of her last five games for the Knights (24-1) who have advanced to the OHSAA Division IV district semifinals.



For her career, Mershimer has 1,604 points, 502 assists, 457 rebounds and 394 steals.

Top 10:
Cardington-Lincoln (Cardington, Ohio) junior Casey Bertke had a historical performance in a win over North Union (Richwood, Ohio). En route to scoring 46 points, Bertke made two free throws and 22 field goals, which ties for ninth most FGs made in state history for a single-game.

Record-Breaker:
Needing 40 points to become her school’s all-time leading scorer (boys or girls), Lynchburg-Clay (Lynchburg, Ohio) senior Peyton Scott netted 45 in a win over Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, Ohio). She ended the evening with 2,117 points.

Skywalker:
Living Word Lutheran (Jackson, Wis.) senior Keri Walker dropped a career-high 47 points in a win over Kenosha Christian Life (Kenosha, Wis.). She also had 13 steals and nine rebounds.

Block Party:
Village Academy (Powell, Ohio) junior Maddie Majewski notched her third triple-double of the season with 20 points, 12 rebounds, 11 blocks, six assists and four steals in a win over Horizon Science Academy. She nearly had a quadruple-double (26 points, 17 rebounds, 10 assists and nine steals) in a win over Liberty Christian Academy (Pataskala, Ohio) in December.

Passing Fancy: Ossining (Ossining, N.Y.) senior guard Jaida Strippoli dished out 14 assists (and scored 13 points) in a 99-63 win over Kennedy Catholic (Somers, N.Y.). She also had 10 points and 10 assists in a 97-61 win over Arlington (LaGrangeville, N.Y.).
