Flag Football Game Preview: California Grizzlies vs. Foothill Falcons

California is a perfect 5-0 against Foothill since September of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will venture away from home to take on the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (California 6.2, Foothill 12.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

California is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Liberty for the full four quarters, racking up a 31-0 win. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Grizzlies with their most commanding win of the season.

Caeli AuYeung had a dynamite game, throwing for 223 yards and four TDs. Those four passing touchdowns gave her a new career-high.

California didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Janie Trottier and Addison Perezalonso.

Meanwhile, Foothill had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They strolled past the Trojans with points to spare, taking the game 24-6.

California's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Foothill, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

California took their victory against Foothill in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 25-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
