Pinecrest has gone a perfect 10-0 against Scotland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Patriots will welcome the Fighting Scots at 6:00 p.m. Pinecrest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

Pinecrest's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Lee County by a score of 2-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 3, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Amelia Millard and Grace Clark scored both of Pinecrest's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Scotland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 13-0 to Union Pines. While losing is never fun, Scotland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 419th, while Union Pines are ranked 33rd).

Scotland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Pinecrest, their win bumped their record up to 12-4-1.

Pinecrest took their victory against Scotland in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 16-0 score. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Fighting Scots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
