Recap: Alonso Ravens vs. Chamberlain Storm

The Alonso Ravens can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 26-16 victory over Chamberlain. The win was just what Alonso needed coming off of a 72-5 loss in their prior matchup.

Alonso found their leader in underclassman Aliya Hannah, who scored 11 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Hannah has scored at least 25% of Alonso's points.

Despite the loss, Chamberlain saw an underclassman step up: Jesenia Rodriguez scored 8 points. Rodriguez scored a full 50% of Chamberlain's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Alonso's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 1-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.3 points per game. As for Chamberlain, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alonso will play host again and welcome Steinbrenner, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Steinbrenner has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Chamberlain and Tampa Bay Tech will face off at 8:00 p.m. on December 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
