Fallbrook took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They skirted past the Escondido Cougars 27-24. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The critical scores for Fallbrook came from Jaxson Day, Grant Hall, and Hudson Quinn. Aiden Jimenez also made an appearance on special teams (luckily for the Warriors): his a 46-yard strike wound up winning them the game.

When it comes to explaining why Escondido lost, don't look at Jorge Martinez. Despite the final result, he picked up 32 receiving yards and two TDs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fallbrook will host Canyon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Escondido, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Classical Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
