Basketball Recap: Norwood's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Wednesday

On Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Norwood Mustangs beat the Bedford Buccaneers 63-57. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Norwood and bumps their season record up to 15-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Bedford, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Norwood nor Bedford have any future games scheduled.
