St. Francis extends home winning streak to six

Recap: St. Francis Sharks vs. Pajaro Valley Grizzlies

The St. Francis Sharks had to endure a six-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They took down Pajaro Valley 60-41 on Friday. St. Francis' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Sam Braun was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with five rebounds. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jacob Jimenez, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and six steals.

St. Francis pushed their record up to 1-5 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.2 points per game. As for Pajaro Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

St. Francis won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Salinas at 1:30 p.m. on December 16th. Pajaro Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Ceiba College Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
