Peoria Notre Dame and Riverdale squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Peoria Notre Dame had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 2-1. The Irish's defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Riverdale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lola Wainwright, who had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces Wainwright has posted over her last seven contests. Amarah Coleman was another key player, getting three digs and three aces.

Peoria Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 24-13. As for Riverdale, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-10-1 record this season.

Peoria Notre Dame does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverdale, they will face off against Chicago Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
