Madera South has gone a perfect 4-0 against Minarets recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Madera South is taking a road trip to square off against Minarets at 4:00 p.m. Madera South will be strutting in after a win while Minarets will be coming in after a loss.

Madera South proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Roosevelt, sneaking past 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Stallions have posted since February 28th.

Jeremiah Montes made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, David Moles and Emiliano Guerrero did most of the damage at the plate: Moles scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Guerrero scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. What's more, Moles posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

Madera South was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Minarets' offense. They lost 9-0 to Fowler on Friday. The Mustangs have struggled against the Redcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Minarets now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Madera South, their record is now 3-8.

Everything went Madera South's way against Minarets in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Madera South made off with an 11-3 win. Does Madera South have another victory up their sleeve, or will Minarets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
