Baseball Recap: Canyon Ridge's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

While Canyon Ridge's win against Rigby wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Riverhawks narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Trojans 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Riverhawks have posted since April 26, 2024.

Chritian Waitley made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Waitley wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Justin Martin, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Martin a new career-high.
