Softball Recap: Chilhowie Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chilhowie can now relate to. They fell just short of the Twin Springs Titans by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly two runs.

Emmaline Dowell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Chilhowie saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Williams, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Chilhowie and nudges their season record down to 17-5. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs. As for Twin Springs, they pushed their record up to 16-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Chilhowie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Twin Springs, they have already played their next match, a 1-0 loss against J.I. Burton on the 3rd.
