Softball Recap: Mcclatchy Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

McClatchy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Cordova Lancers. Considering the Lions have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jeneyse Morales was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Jayeliza Rogers was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

McClatchy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive games.

McClatchy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Cordova, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
