Volleyball Recap: Oak Lawn Extends Winning Streak to Four

Oak Lawn waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Richards Bulldogs. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Oak Lawn got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 29-31, 25-22, 25-20.

Oak Lawn can attribute much of their success to Lucas Muresan, who had nine digs and three assists. Those nine digs gave Muresan a new career-high.

Oak Lawn's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-7. As for Richards, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Oak Lawn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Oak Forest on the 6th. As for Richards, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South on the 6th.
