Basketball Game Preview: Central City Bison vs. Chase County Longhorns

The Central City Bison will square off against the Chase County Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central City will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Central City strolled past Lakeview with points to spare, taking the game 69-55.

Meanwhile, Chase County came up short against Gering two weeks ago and fell 48-39. The Longhorns were down 42-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Central City will need to focus on slowing down Noah Rau, one of several Chase County players who made an impact when they last played. He posted ten points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Zak Anderson, who scored nine points.

Central City's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Chase County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
