Wenatchee came tearing into Friday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Eisenhower Cadets. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 5-0 win on Friday.

Kaden Fisher tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Simeon Shanbour and Owen Ervin did most of the damage at the plate: Shanbour scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Ervin scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Those three hits gave Shanbour a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Anderson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Wenatchee pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Eisenhower, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wenatchee is set to face off against their familiar foe Moses Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.5, the Mavericks 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Eisenhower will square off against rival Davis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
