Basketball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 69-58 to the Geraldine Bulldogs.

Despite the loss, Liberty still got an impressive performance from Logan Smith, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. With that strong performance, Smith is now averaging an impressive 8.5 boards per game. Mijae Karim was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Geraldine, they moved to 8-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Liberty will face off against Landrum at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Geraldine, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fyffe at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
