Baseball Recap: Cass Tech Takes a Loss

Cass Tech was the 15-10 winner over Taylor when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Technicians fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday.

Emmet Mitchell II and Chris Hooper did some serious damage despite the final result: Mitchell II went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Hooper went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

Cass Tech's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Taylor, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.

Coming up, Cass Tech will head out to square off against Chandler Park Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Taylor, they will venture away from home to face off against Lincoln Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
