Recap: Muskogee Roughers vs. Choctaw Yellowjackets
The Muskogee Roughers lost against the Choctaw Yellowjackets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Muskogee suffered a rough 52-30 loss at the hands of Choctaw. While losing is never fun, Muskogee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while Choctaw is ranked second).
When it comes to explaining why Muskogee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aniyah Thomas. Despite the final result, she scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Muskogee has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Choctaw, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.
Muskogee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-28 loss vs. Bixby on the 9th. Choctaw has also already played their next game, a 63-37 win against Ponca City on the 9th.
