While Carlisle didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Boone Toreadors on Monday, sneaking past 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Toreadors: they've now won six in a row.

Carlisle's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Boone, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Carlisle will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Toreadors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
