Football Recap: ThunderRidge Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for ThunderRidge's offense. They were outmatched by the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles and fell 40-0. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, the Grizzlies' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Even if they lost, ThunderRidge's defensive line still kept up the pressure with seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Camden Neumann and Jacob Burget, who racked up four sacks between them.

Mountain Vista got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooklyn Bailey out in front who picked up 96 receiving yards and two scores. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Callister, who rushed for 90 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

ThunderRidge now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Mountain Vista, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

ThunderRidge has already played their next matchup, a 49-7 defeat against Valor Christian on the 17th. As for Mountain Vista, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-7 victory against Fruita Monument on the 16th.
