Softball Recap: Mathis Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mathis can now relate to. They fell just short of London by a score of 4-3 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against London this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 on Thursday.

Marivel Martinez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Mathis and nudges their season record down to 16-12-1. As for London, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Mathis nor London have any future games scheduled.
