Volleyball Recap: Atlas Preparatory School Takes a Loss

The Atlas Preparatory School Gryphons lost 3-0 to the Thomas MacLaren School Highlanders on Wednesday. The Gryphons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 25-11.

Among those leading the charge was Ivan Romo, who had 14 digs and one assist. Romo is crushing it when it comes to digs: he's had at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season.

Atlas Preparatory School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Thomas MacLaren School, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Atlas Preparatory School will welcome Pueblo South at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Pueblo South will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Atlas Preparatory School surely won't give up without a fight. As for Thomas MacLaren School, they will venture away from home to square off against Rocky Mountain Prep SMART at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Thomas MacLaren School has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
