Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Oak Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They never let Grand Oaks get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the War Eagles have posted since March 8, 2024.

Oak Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. Willis' defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.
