Baseball Recap: Don Lugo Beats Ontario for Their Fourth Straight Win

Don Lugo waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with an 11-8 win over the Ontario Jaguars. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 6-2 win last Wednesday.

Jasim Malik was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.1 innings pitched. Malik was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Bryan Scott was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two stolen bases. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high. Ishmael Fox was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Don Lugo hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Don Lugo now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Ontario, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
