Lake Country Lutheran fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Lakeside Lutheran on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 4-3. The Lightning's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Lake Country Lutheran saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Menzel, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Gabe Snyder was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Lake Country Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Lakeside Lutheran, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.
