Soccer Recap: Lumberton Comes Up Short

Lumberton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 5-0 to the Terry Sanford Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 4-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2017.

Lumberton's loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Terry Sanford, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lumberton will challenge Gray's Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gray's Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.2 goals per game this season. As for Terry Sanford, they will face off against Triton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
