It was a good run, but Freeburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They received a blow as they fell 50-32 to the Hillsboro Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Midgets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 141st in Illinois, while the Hawks are ranked 45th in Missouri).

Freeburg's defeat dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Hillsboro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Freeburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 40-22 loss against Columbia on the 3rd. Hillsboro has also already played their next game (against Oakville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
