Basketball Recap: Miami Christian's Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Miami Christian saw some tournament action on Thursday. They walked away with a 56-49 victory over the Coral Shores Hurricanes. Given the Victors' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Hurricanes are ranked 615th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Miami Christian's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-3. As for Coral Shores, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Miami Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Florida Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. After both having extra time off, Coral Shores and Palmer Trinity will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
