Soccer Recap: Bruton Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, Bruton was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor the Poquoson Islanders could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

With that draw, Bruton's record moves to 8-4-1. Meanwhile, Poquoson's record is now 4-7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bruton will head out to square off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Poquoson, they will venture away from home to face off against New Kent at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Poquoson will be up against New Kent's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.14 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
