Clay-Chalkville moves up to No. 6 in this week's South Region rankings.

Metcalf.Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, Ala.) opened the Alabama Class 6A state playoffs with a 48-14 win over Cullman and rose to its highest ranking of the season in the MaxPreps South Region Football Computer Rankings this week.
Clay-Chalkville climbed to No. 6 this week after being the No. 14 team last week. Two other Alabama teams, Hoover and Opelika, also joined the rankings this week to give Alabama four teams in the top 25.
The regional rankings are based on the
MaxPreps Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. The South region includes teams from Florida, Tennessee, Maryland, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Washington D.C., Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
