Basketball Preview: East Lee County Jaguars vs. Riverdale Raiders
The East Lee County Jaguars are on the road again on Monday and plays the Riverdale Raiders on February 5th. East Lee County comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 51-12, which was the final score in East Lee County's tilt against the Griffins on Friday. East Lee County has struggled against the Griffins recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Riverdale ended up a good deal behind the Titans on Friday and lost 44-27. Riverdale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
East Lee County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Riverdale, they dropped their record down to 3-17 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.
East Lee County beat the Raiders 49-42 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will East Lee County repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
