Basketball Recap: Uniontown's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to 12

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Uniontown had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-42 victory over the Hampton Talbots. The Red Raiders are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Uniontown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tori Grooms, who went 6-for-8 from beyond the arc to rack up 24 points and three steals. That's the most points Grooms has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Calvin Winfrey, who went 5-for-12 en route to 22 points and five boards.

Uniontown pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.1 points over those games. As for Hampton, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Looking ahead, Uniontown will square off against Peters Township on Friday. One thing working in Uniontown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 matchups. Hampton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
