Soccer Recap: Grant Takes a Loss

The matchup between Grant and Fremont on Saturday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Tigers lost 9-0 to the Packers. While losing is never fun, Grant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Fremont are ranked 53rd).

Grant has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-1 record this season. As for Fremont, their win bumped their record up to 10-1-1.

Coincidentally, Grant and Fremont will both be playing Newaygo the next time they take the pitch. The Tigers will head out to face the Lions at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Packers will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
