It was a good run, but  Clearfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their  eight-game winning streak on Monday. They took  a  70-53 bruising from the Westmont Hilltop Hilltoppers. When it comes to explaining why Clearfield lost, don't look at  Braison Patrick. Despite the final result, he  almost  dropped  a double-double on 19  points and nine  boards. Those nine  rebounds gave  Patrick a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Elijah Glunt, who  went 5 for 10  on his way to 14 points.

Clearfield's defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 9-6. As for Westmont Hilltop, their win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 15-2.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clearfield will host Central  at 7:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. One thing working in Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55  points  in their last nine contests. As for Westmont Hilltop, they will be playing at home against Bishop Carroll  at 7:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Bishop Carroll will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something Westmont Hilltop surely won't give up without a fight.
