Volleyball Recap: Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Valley was the 3-0 winner over Brush when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell 3-1 to the Beetdiggers on Tuesday.

Valley actually scored more points across those four sets (90-87), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-22, 12-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Camila Villanueva paced Valley's offense, picking up 11 kills. Villanueva got some help from Jade Nevarez and her 18 assists. Iris Payen controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Jolina Hernandez was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Brush, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

Valley has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Strasburg on the 23rd. As for Brush, they will square off against Eaton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
