There's no place like home for Knoxville Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chattanooga Christian Chargers on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Fighting Irish, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-7, 25-9.

Knoxville Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mayela Rodriguez out in front who had seven digs and five aces. Another player making a difference was Nora James, who had eight digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Knoxville Catholic was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Knoxville Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. As for Chattanooga Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.
