Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trenton). They put the hurt on the Huron River Rats with a sharp 13-2 win on Saturday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.
Talon Vanhovel looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lukas Totten, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Niko Beaudrie, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Trenton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
