Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian School Piles Up the Points Against Leesburg Christian Prep

Heritage Christian School won against Christian Learning Academy back in December of 2024 with 75 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Heritage Christian School Eagles blew past the Leesburg Christian Prep Eagles 75-28. Heritage Christian School has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Heritage Christian School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijah Reid led the charge by going 7 of 14 on his way to 24 points and four steals. The contest was Reid's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavyn Gailfoil, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 16 points and four steals.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Heritage Christian School, bringing their record for this year to 10-1. As for Leesburg Christian Prep, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian School won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Kissimmee Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leesburg Christian Prep, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Halifax Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
