Basketball Game Preview: Boulder Panthers vs. Prairie View Thunderhawks

The Boulder Panthers will challenge the Prairie View Thunderhawks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Boulder will be strutting in after a victory while Prairie View will be coming in after a defeat.

Boulder was handed a 48-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-37 win over Westminster. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Prairie View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They took a 44-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northglenn.

Boulder will have to contain Elizabeth Scaff as she made an impact in Prairie View's last game. She posted 18 points. That was a full 50% of Prairie View's points, marking the fourth time in a row Scaff has earned more than a third of the team's points.

Boulder's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30 points. As for Prairie View, their loss dropped their record down to 1-21.

Everything came up roses for Boulder against Prairie View in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured a 62-11 victory. In that match, Boulder amassed a halftime lead of 54-3, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
