Basketball Recap: Foxborough Comes Up Short

Foxborough suffered their biggest defeat since January 5, 2024 on Wednesday. They lost 78-52 to the Milford Scarlet Hawks. The Warriors lost against the Scarlet Hawks in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 67-62 score last time.

Milford had a senior duo take command as Luca Testa posted 26 points and Gus Coutinho dropped a double-double on 18 points and 17 boards. Coutinho is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last 19 games he's played dating back to last season. Andrew Rivera was another key player, putting up ten points and eight boards.

Foxborough has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Milford, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foxborough will welcome Canton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Milford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sharon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
