Softball Recap: Horizon Triumphs

While Horizon's victory against Olympia wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hawks narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Titans 10-9. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Ellie Ferradaz was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Adasyn Antoon, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one double.

Horizon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.

The win got Horizon back to even at 2-2. As for Olympia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coming up, Horizon will head out on the road to take on Lake Minneola at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Olympia, they will welcome Lake Buena Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
