Recap: Hokes Bluff Eagles vs. Madison Academy Mustangs
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Hokes Bluff Eagles, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 57-20 loss at the hands of Madison Academy. Hokes Bluff just can't catch a break and has now endured four losses in a row.
Leading Madison Academy to victory were Kenyon Cherry and Joshua Williams. Cherry rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Williams rushed for 175 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Williams was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. Madison Academy also got help from Jackson Reece who showed off his sure hands for 101 receiving yards.
Hokes Bluff now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Madison Academy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Hokes Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Madison Academy will take on Mars Hill Bible at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mars Hill Bible is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
