Basketball Recap: Petoskey Piles Up the Points Against St. Francis

There's no place like home for Petoskey, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the St. Francis Gladiators 66-29 on Tuesday. Given the Northmen's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Gladiators are ranked 256th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Petoskey's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for St. Francis, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Petoskey will square off against Gaylord at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Francis, they will take on Hackett Catholic Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hackett Catholic Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully St. Francis likes a good challenge.
