The Mariner Tritons will face off against the Fort Myers Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mariner is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Mariner blew South Fort Myers out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday South Fort Myers got their revenge. Mariner fell just short of South Fort Myers by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tritons have suffered since April 11, 2024.

Colin Raftery made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Morgan Waltz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Fort Myers waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victor by a 9-2 margin over the Gators.

Ayden Allan tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Bryce Ware was excellent, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Mora, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Fort Myers' victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Mariner, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.
