Softball Recap: Lebanon Wins Going Away Against Crawfordsville

Lebanon won the last time they faced Crawfordsville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tigers blew past the Athenians 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Lebanon let MacKenzie Carey and Sophie Robison run wild. Carey went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Robison got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Addy Zell, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Lebanon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crawfordsville only posted an OBP of .375.

The victory made it two in a row for Lebanon and bumps their season record up to 20-10. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Crawfordsville, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-20.

Lebanon and Crawfordsville are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Tigers will face off against Guerin Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crawfordsville, they will challenge Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
