Tompkins is 9-0-1 against Katy Taylor since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Falcons will head out to challenge the Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. Tompkins will be strutting in after a victory while Katy Taylor will be coming in after a defeat.

The final result isn't all that surprising considering Tompkins' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Katy are ranked 195th).

Meanwhile, Katy Taylor came up short against Paetow on Friday and fell 3-1. Katy Taylor have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Tompkins' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matchups. As for Katy Taylor, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10-1.

Tompkins was able to grind out a solid win over Katy Taylor when the teams last played back in February, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
