DSST: College View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaias Tomita led the charge by almost dropping a triple-double with ten rebounds, nine assists, and 11 steals. Tomita is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least seven every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Craig Johnson, who posted eight points along with six steals and five boards.
Meanwhile, Denver West came up short against DSST: Green Valley Ranch on Friday and fell 51-40. While the Cowboys didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raptors 16-12 in the first quarter.
DSST: College View will need to focus on slowing down Jaheim Taylor, one of several Denver West players who made an impact when they last played. He dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. Jeremiah Parker was another key player, putting up seven points and seven boards.
DSST: College View pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Denver West, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-2.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest-scoring teams around. DSST: College View hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 65.3 points per game. However, it's not like Denver West struggles in that department as they've been averaging 65.5 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
